Registered researchers may freely access CCRI data provided they respect the following conditions:

There are no fees for accessing and using CCRI data. In turn, researchers must not charge others for data obtained from the CCRI.

The CCRI must be properly cited in any publication where its data have been used. This will help ensure that we can continue to secure medium- and long-term financial support for the project. Likewise, we ask users to notify us of any publications, research reports, or educational materials produced using the data available on this site.

Genealogists are welcome to use the database, but they should be aware that it is not designed for genealogical research. The CCRI microdata constitute a sample, which represents only 5 percent of the population recorded in the 1911 census.
Why Register?
Registration is mandatory for those wishing to obtain data from the sample. Registration allows us to deliver the requested data via email. It is also a way for the CCRI to gain a general understanding of the types of researchers interested in the project's resources

How To Cite Us
Users are asked to cite the CCRI whenever its data is used in their research. The success of this website depends, to a large extent, on our ability to show that it is being extensively used. We also ask that any citations follow the proper format.

The following is an example of a proper citation:
